Fendi S.A.S Zucca Mama Baguette
A truly iconic bag that has stood the test of time. Vintage (1980s) authentic Fendi S.A.S Zucca Mama Baguette. This is most luckily one of the first first Fendi styles that was ever made, before the iconic baguettes were introduced in the mid 90s.
“Fendi S.A.S” began appearing on bags made in the 1970's and 1980's, in addition to, (R), as Fendi registered their logo.
Iconic Zucca "F" print. Karl Lagerfeld designed the logo in 1965 as a testament to Fendi's initial claim to fame — Fun Furs. Zucca was initially used to line the interiors of travel trunks, but as its popularity rose it made its way to ready-to-wear and handbags, reaching peak Zucca-mania in the mid-to-late nineties
All engravings on the hardware say "Fendi". Engraved Fendi lining and zip. The rivets on the main Fendi hardware are in the shape of iconic "Fs" (the newer bags no longer have such an intricate detail, and have normal plain silver rivets). Fendi started stamping serial no's on all baguettes in the late late 80s /early 90s. Vintage Fendi Bags before that do not carry serial no's.
Adjustable leather strap. Made in Italy. Comes with a MOY dustbag
- Good vintage condition, normal signs of use, wear on the leather straps, and front hardware
